HC hour 1

The rift  takes them to a gallery of paintings in a white hallway.
"Im so glad we're safe." Kohana sighs and Fuyu nods in agreement as they look on at the paintings in the hallway. Kohana looks into an ocean themed picture and is sucked in.
"Ah!!"
"Kohana!!"
Fuyu jumps in after her. The two fall through the depths of the water and almost drown. As tey make their way further down they are saved by a mysterious force. All of the dreams from previous hours are present on the beach. Crisis comes up from the water in a tight fitting bathing suit.
"I see you survived after all." Crisis smiles and Fuyu punches him in the face.
"You bastard! You would show your face to me?"Fuyu screams and Kohana holds him back, Will getting between them.
"This is not the time nor the place you two."Will says and Fuyu backs down. Khandro comforts Kohana as Z tends to Crisis'  face.
"When the clock calls we must all answer, regardless the request."Crisis explains ashamed of himself.
"What do you mean? What exactly are you guys anyway? Dont you have free will?"Fuyu asks and Will shakes his head.
"We are the dreams of the previous sacrifices. We have limited free will. We can choose to help or hinder you but in a hell hour our will takes no residence. Tokei can play with us like chess pieces, and we will have no say in the matter. We arent people so we cannot die." Will explains and Z pipes up.
"But since we are dreams we can be controlled manipulated." Khandro rubs Kohana's shoulder in comfort.
"You may have even dreamt of us or the creatures here before. "Khandro explains and Aku hugs his knees in the sand.
"The nightmares you see attacking you in the various hell hours have no free will at all. They are complete pawns to the clock. Such as Kokeshi and Karyan."Aku explains sadly. "However our resolve to assist you doesnt merely come from our partial free will. We are dreams but we are also the manifestation of the previous sacrifices."Will states and Kohana looks confused.
"What do you mean exactly?"Kohana asks and Will goes on to explain.
"We are the previous sacrifices taking on a form of our choosing. To assist you from sharing our fate."Khandro says sadly.
"We arent ourselves though. We are like will said a manifestation. Like ghosts if you will. We used the last of our abilities to create a 'dream self' in which we can move freely in the clock. That way we can still 'live' inside the clock's hours." Z explains and Kohana understands.
"So you guys are the last people killed by the clock, but you dont look like your human self because you used your dream powers to look how you want? Am I getting this right?"Fuyu asks and Crisis nods.
"Thats about right, and since the clock has our souls we are controlled by it but we have a little bit of free will as long as its inside the clock."Crisis adds in.
"Then why didnt you make yourself less of a lecher?" Fuyu asks and Crisis looks away embarrassed and Kohana laughs.
"Ko-chan?"Fuyu asks.
"I dont feel so bad knowing you didnt really mean to do those bad things."Kohana says happily and Fuyu smiles seeing her happy face.
"So the clock, what is it exactly?"Kohana asks curiously and Will shrugs.
"You'll have to ask it yourself when midnight comes."Will replies truly clueless.
"Do you know why it picks us? What criteria does it look for in a soul?"Kohana asks and Will crosses his arms.
"It looks for souls with pain etched into them. It wants souls capable of evil but pure."Z answers.
"Like Fuyu. He has never known true sin because he was a pure child when he went into a coma. But as you can see by surving the clock he is capable of evil. Wrath, lust, sloth, greed, envy, pride, gluttony...All of these things you have succumed to. Either by force or by will of the clock. I suggest taking it easy in this world. Its the last you'll have till midnight. You wont have to find the clock. Its in the ocean and when its time you will be taken to the final hour."Z explains and our heroes look at eachother with sad eyes.
"This being a dream world can we use our dream powers too?"Kohana asks curiously and Will nods.
"How do you think you've been progressing. In each world you had a new weapon, ability, etc. Those are your dream powers. In this world anything is possible."Will explains.
Kohana thinks really hard and a fish appears swimming through the air, on the side is a sakura blossom its scales are silver except for the ones creating the flowers shape. Its tail and fins are long and flowy. It shines in the sunset as it dives into the ocean water. Kohana follows it, Fuyu clsoe behind. Fuyu uses his powers to make them breathe underwater. The two of them swim around in their new world and run along the beach and play with the other sacrifices then they all rest on the beach as they hear the clock tock.
"To think one of you will be joining us. The other to wake up and forget this place."Khandro says sadly, and Kohana stands up rubbing the chill from her skin.
"I can only imagine how helpless the two of you must feel." Will adds as Kohana begins walking away from the group looking out into the ocean.
"Kohana?"Fuyu asks taking after her.
"Whats wrong?"Fuyu asks looking at a silently crying Kohana.
"In a short time one of us will die. Doesnt that scare you?"Kohana asks hugging herself. "Ive never really lived so it doesnt bother me. We cant stop it. There's nothing we can do. Why fight it?"Fuyu asks giving up.
"No! Dont say that you cant give up! Theres gotta be a way out of it."Kohana says racking her brain.
"While he was torturing me back in the last hell hour he told me that he wanted someone like you, you're an innocent product of an evil family he said. It didnt really make sense to me then why he wanted me...I was some kind of consolation prize if he didnt get you I suppose. You know it was a mistake that I even lived? Hotaru wasnt supposed to die. Tokei killed her as she tried to protect me and he didnt want to waste a soul. I've been on the chopping block waiting my turn of years Kohana, dont be so worried. I never really lived so Its fine if I die here. You'll get out, I promise." Fuyu reassures her and she hits him across the face.
"You think thats what I want?! You think I want to go back living my lie of a life while I just leave knowing you're dead or suffering? You really think I want that?!" Kohana shouts shoving him in anger.
"I couldnt do that to you! I couldnt just wake up and forget you like nothing happened! I cant and I wont! Ive been in the dark for so long living an innocent life completely ignorant of everything around me. I took my friends for granted, I couldnt see the hurt I caused my brother. I was living a blissful life. But you, you never got that chance Fuyu. If I could make him take me, Id do it for you in a heartbeat."Kohana says surely Fuyu starts to tear up as he realizes what all the two of them have been through.
"Its not up to us in the end though is it?"Fuyu asks and Kohana shakes her head.
"No I guess its not."Kohana replies hugging Fuyu freely. Fuyu wraps his arms around Kohana.
"I dont know if I'll ever get to say this again but thank you for everything you've done. Keeping me alive, all of it." Kohana says sniffling. Fuyu pats her on the back before pushing back from her looking at her face.
"No, thank you for helping me live." Fuyu smiles. A blood curdling scream sends chills down their spines as the hour changes.
